What happened?

Someone left with a key

An employee quit, or a key went missing. A rekey turns their key into scrap metal.

Too many keys

A ring for every manager and nobody sure which key fits which door. A master key system fixes that.

The push bar sticks

Exit devices that stick, drag or don't latch when the door closes.

Can't open up

How a master key system works

Each lock is set up to take two keys: its own key and the master. People carry one key that opens only their doors. Managers carry one key that opens them all.

Master key
Opens every lock in the system.
Change key
Opens one lock, or one group of locks.
Grand master
Sits above several masters, for larger sites.

What changes the price

  • How many doors and locks
  • Rekey, or new hardware
  • How many keys, and how many key levels
  • The kind of hardware: standard locks or exit devices

Questions business owners ask

Can every door use the same key?

Often, yes. If the locks take the same kind of key blank, they can be rekeyed to match. That's called keyed alike.

Our push bar sticks. Does the whole thing need replacing?

Not always. An exit device can often be adjusted or repaired, and sometimes a new one is the better choice. Describe it when you call.
